Body shop make-up range now entirely vegan

PETA (People of the Ethical Treatment of Animals) have just announced that Body Shop‘s make-up range is now 100% vegan.

Their cruelty free make-up now joins many other products in the very popular high street store for being completely plant-based.

PETA said “We applaud The Body Shop’s dedication to animals and are beyond excited that more and more companies are creating 100 percent vegan products and that consumers are demanding that animal ingredients be left out of their makeup bags”.

Whilst it’s fantastic news when any company moves towards cruelty free products, there will be many vegans out there today asking whether the Body Shop can ever be 100% vegan when they are owned by L’Oreal who still have a lot of controversy surrounding them as to whether they test on animals.

Body Shop is owned by L’Oréal one of the worst animal experimenting companies there is. Veganism is an animal liberation movement so just because a product contains no animal ingredients does not make it vegan.

Hello. After reading this article I went onto PETA website to see if they said anything more, but I cannot find any mention of it on there!! Please can you send me a link to the original article by PETA?

    Thanks

I think its sad that in one breath your applauding the Body Shop for there great step forward in there make-up range but then you have to stick the knife in with the L’Oreal comment. L’Oreal may own the Body Shop but that doesn’t mean they are the same company or have the same ethics as the Body Shop. I find your review rather narcissistic.

I would still NEVER buy from them. Not only do profits go to an animal testing company, but they spend so much money creating this fake image of being cruelty-free, and lying to their customers.
