Strong Roots are launching their 100% plant-based meals in 500 Tesco stores nationwide.

Tesco will be stocking five of Strong Roots’ products, including their Kale & Quinoa Burger, Pumpkin & Spinach Burger, Mixed Root Vegetable Fries, Oven Baked Sweet Potato Fries and Spinach Bites all costing £2.99 each.

The retail partnership meets growing consumer demand for convenient plant-based and vegan foods, with the British meat-free food market forecast to increase value sales to £658 million in 2021. 

Time fries when you’re having fun

Strong Roots freezes its vegetables from the moment they are harvested to guarantee freshness and ensure nutrients are not lost in transportation. The company were also awarded a ‘Great Taste’ award for their Oven Baked Sweet Potato Fries. 

Samuel Dennigan, Founder of Strong Roots told us: “We are delighted to launch nationwide in Tesco. The products that we are stocking at the supermarket will meet growing demand for plant-based food and our healthy range of quick and tasty frozen food products.”

He continues: “We are committed to revolutionising frozen food aisles with our completely vegan offering that offers time-poor shoppers a convenient and healthy option for home cooking.”

This news goes on the back of news of vegan calamari products being launched in the UK and a new line of plant-based ready meals
