Berry Easy Chia jam

Chia jam is possibly one of the easiest recipes you can make. Unlike shop bought jam, it's super healthy! Vitamins, protein, fatty's got the lot and a good recipe to make with kids.


1 cup Frozen Strawberries (or any berries)

3 tbsp Chia Seeds

1 tsp Lemon Juice

1 tbsp Natural Sweetener (try and use a light coloured one)

1/3 cup Water


1Put the frozen strawberries in a bowl and allow them to defrost.

2Once defrosted, mash with a fork.

3Add the chia seeds, lemon juice, sweetener and water.

4Mix and put in the refrigerator to set.

5Give it one last stir before serving. At this point you can add more chia seeds to the mix to make it thicker or add more natural sweetener to make it sweeter.

6Store your jam in an airtight jar in the fridge and it should last up to one week.
