We bring you the simplest and best vegan scones recipe. These scones use hardly any ingredients and will be ready in no time.
3 cupsSelf Raising Flour
1 tspBaking Powder
1/2 cupDairy-Free Margarine
3/4 cupAlmond Milk
1Preheat oven to 220C.
2Place the flour, salt, baking powder and margarine into a bowl and rub between your fingers rapidly, until it forms a crumbly texture.
3Add the sugar & milk and stir with a spoon to form a sticky dough.
4Coat your work surface & dough ball with flour and use a rolling pin to rollout the dough to around 2 - 3cm thick. (Try not to kneed the dough as this will dry it out. They will be sticky but that will make them very tasty once baked.)
5Using a cutter (or an upturned glass), cut out the scones and place onto a baking tray that is lined with baking/parchment paper.
6Brush the tops of the scones with a dash of dairy-free milk.
7Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown on top.
8Wait for them to cool before serving with jam & whipped coconut cream.
