Fantastique French Toast

A simply beauitful recipe that uses up left over bread and turns it into a stunning breakfast to remember. Kids LOVE this recipe as much as adults do. Quick, cheap and super easy!

Ingredients

3 Slices of Extra Thick Bread

1 1/2 cups Oat milk

2 tbsp Maple syrup

1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract

1 1/5 tsp Cinnamon

1/2 tsp Ginger

1 tbsp Chia seeds

Directions

1Place all the ingredients apart from the bread into a bowl and mix with a fork.

2Place mixture into the refrigerator for 10 minutes then stir.

3Pour half the mixture into the bottom of a flat dish then place the bread on top for soaking.

4Pour the rest of the mixture on top of the bread and place into the refrigerator for 5 minutes to allow the bread to really soak it all up.

5Grease a pan with oil and, when the bread is ready, fry on a medium heat until the bread goes golden brown. (It mayy look a little darker because of the chia seeds, but that is ok)

6Stack the fried bread and pour your chosen toppings on top. We used maple syrup, almond butter, coconut cream and berries.
