Four Ingredient Chocolate Spread

With just 4 ingredients you can make a delightful and healthy chocolate spread, yes we said healthy.

Many of us will remember a childhood of eating chocolate spread on toast or, let’s face it, straight out of the jar. Some of the leading store-bought chocolate spreads are ladened with dairy & sugar, so they have been taken off the shopping list – until now!

This recipe is absolutely delicious using tahini as the main ingredient. Tahini is literally just sesame seeds ground into a paste and it can be found at all the major supermarkets as well as The Vegan Kind online supermarket.

We also used cocoa powder in the recipe but you can also use cacao (yes there’s a difference) if you have it. Cacao is raw and cocoa is processed, and they both work really well.

Any dairy-free milk can be used in this recipe, but it also means you have to store the finished chocolate spread in the fridge where it can last a few days with the lid screwed on. It’s always worth buying spreads & jams in glass jars as you can use them again & again.

Ingredients

  • Tahini - 1/2 Cup
  • Maple Syrup - 1/4 Cup
  • Dairy Free Milk - 1/4 Cup
  • Cocoa Powder - 1/2 Cup

Instructions

Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix until everything is combined.

Add to a jar or serve straight away.

Serve on toast and try not to eat it all at once.

(Lasts in fridge for 4 days)
