Aldi Fruit Pastilles are Now Vegan

Do you miss fruit pastilles since you have been vegan? Long car journeys just aren’t the same without them. No worries, they’ve just made a vegan come back.

Great news! Aldi are now stocking vegan-friendly fruit pastilles. The change seems to be a recent one, but we are happy they changed the recipe.

Dominion is the company that produces these little sugar coated fruit jellies. But BE WARNED: these aren’t the Rowntrees Fruit Pastilles – so please don’t go out buying them, as they are NOT vegan friendly, but this is about as close to the real thing as you are going to get.

The fruit chews are retailed at 65p (not bad eh?) but since changing the recipe and going vegan-friendly, the reviews haven’t actually been that great. One can only assume that some people don’t like change and possibly people got used to the old, non vegan-friendly flavour.

Anyway, the proof is in the pudding…have you tried them yet? Do you like or hate them? Let us know in the Comments below.
