Asian Raw Slaw

Asian Raw Slaw is a wonderful, colourful, raw shredded salad with a delicious dressing.

This salad goes really well with all Asian dishes, especially Salt & Pepper Tofu.

Packed full of vitamins and nutrition, but it also tastes incredible. This Slaw captures most of the flavours of the Orient: sweet, spicy, tangy and salty. It should last a couple of days in the fridge too, if sealed.

Ingredients

  • THE SALAD
  • A Quarter of a Red Cabbage (shredded)
  • A Quarter of a White Cabbage (shredded)
  • Two Carrots (thinly sliced)
  • Four Spring Onions (chopped)
  • One Red Pepper (chopped)
  • One Red Onion (Chopped)
  • A Quarter Cup of Coriander (roughly chopped)
  • A Quarter Cup of Mint (roughly chopped)
  • THE DRESSING
  • A Quarter Cup of Sesame Oil
  • A Quarter Cup of Soy Sauce
  • A Quarter Qup of Rice Wine Vinegar
  • One Tbsp Maple Syrup
  • One Red Chilli (chopped and deseeded)
  • Two Tbsp Black Sesame Seeds

Instructions

  1. Add all the salad ingredients together and mix with your hand.
  2. In a bowl combine the salad dressing and mix. Pour over the salad and toss well.
  3. It really is that easy but wow the flavours in this salad are incredible!
  4. Serve as a side dish or as a main salad with your choice of plant-based protein. We recommend our Salt and Pepper Tofu
