Furthermore this recipe is a perfect way to start your food journey with tofu. Many people ask, ‘what do I do with tofu?’, but this is a good place to start.

We recommend serving the tofu on top of a salad or a lovely Asian Slaw (as pictured).

Ingredients

  • One Block of Firm Tofu (pressed if possible)
  • Two Tsp Cornflour
  • One Tsp Garlic Powder
  • Two Tsp Salt
  • Two Tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 Tbsp Oil

Instructions

  1. Chop the tofu into cubes and place in a bowl
  2. Add the rest of the ingredients (minus the oil) and using your hands, shake the tofu around so its all coated in the powder.
  3. Place a pan on medium heat and pour the oil in.
  4. Put the tofu in the pan and fry until all sides are a golden brown colour.
  5. Serve with a side salad or in a Buddha bowl. We enjoyed this dish alongside our Asian Slaw and they complimented each other beautifully.
