Plant-based delivery increases in demand for veganuary

Veganuary has prompted more and more people to go vegan over the month. By far, the first week is always the busiest, with new launches and special promotions. Searches for ‘vegan’ on Deliveroo rose by 153 percent in the first week of Januray.

In 2021 the delivery company saw an increase of 163 percent in vegan orders for the month of January. That percentage was when 500,000 people were expected to join veganuary. Now, a year later, 2 million participants are expected to have taken part since its launch in 2014.

Over the past few years, more brands are contributing to veganuary with promotions, new menus and other support for those taking part.

Vegan Deliveroo

Deliveroo gave £5 off for selected restaurants this week for 2,000 new and existing customers. The code may still be operational, but as it was first come, first serve, there’s no guarantee of discount at this time.

Aisha Jefferson from Deliveroo said, ‘We’re changing Veganuary to Ve-CAN-uary this week – so go the distance with your plant-based promise and enjoy one of our delicious incentives thanks to £10,000 worth of free voucher codes.’
