Making your own Vegan Parmesan is really easy and tastes great!

In essence, all it is is ground up nuts and nutritional yeast. The nuts act as a great fatty carrier of the flavour of the yeast.

This recipe has been known to work with other nuts, but using walnuts are a great way to get some added Omega 3 into your diet, and they really do the job well!

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Walnuts
  • 4 Tbsp Nutritional Yeast
  • 1/2 Tsp Black Pepper
  • A pinch of Salt (add more salt as necessary)

Instructions

  1. Place all of the ingredients into a high powered blender and pulse until you have a powdery parmesan consistency.
  2. Sprinkle on top of pasta
