Gardein Vegan Fishless Tacos

If you have never tried vegan fishless tacos before then you are in for a treat!

Gardein is one of the best vegan fish alternatives in the UK and we discovered that they make the BEST vegan fish tacos. The Fishless Fillets can be found in the freezers at Sainsbury’s.

This Mexican classic is an absolute treat and we can’t wait for you to try it.

Ingredients

  • One packet Gardein Fishless Fillets
  • Six Taco Shells (Soft or Hard, Depending on Preference)
  • For the Pico De Gallo
  • 15 Baby Tomatoes (Pips Removed)
  • One Medium Onion
  • Two Tbsp Jalapenos (Chopped)
  • One Fresh Lime Squeezed
  • For the Guacamole
  • One Onion (Finely Chopped)
  • A Handful of Coriander (Finely Chopped)
  • Two Avocados
  • One Lime Juice
  • One Tsp Salt
  • For the Fish Sauce
  • One Third of a cup of Vegan Creme Fraiche
  • Quater of a Cup Vegan Mayonaise
  • One Tsp Garlic Powder
  • One Tsp Sriracha
  • Juice of One Lime
  • Lettuce, Shredded Red Cabbage & Spring Onion, Coriander (Optional)

Instructions

  1. Start by preheating your oven as per the instructions on the back Gardein Fishless Fillets packet.
  2. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and place the fillets on and place in the oven following the instructions on the back of the packet, remembering to flip them half way through.
  3. For the Pico De Gallo, chop the tomato and onion into chunks, add the chopped jalapenos and chopped coriander. Squeeze the lime over and mix. Place in a your tacos.
  4. Add some (optional) red cabbage to the tacos.
  5. For the Guacamole, add the avocado into a bowl and mash it. Then add the chopped onion, coriander and lime juice and mix. Share evenly between the tacos.
  6. For the vegan fish sauce, Add all the ingredients together and mix. 
  7. When ready, take the fish out of the oven and place on a chopping board.
  8. Chop it into strips and add to the tacos.
  9. Drizzle the fish sauce on top and sprinkle some coriander ontop.
  10. Serve with friends and trust us, these are amazing!
