At the start of this month, Netflix picked up a new documentary and it’s vegan!
We all know how important it is when a documentary is showcased on Netflix, especially when the content has the ability to open people’s minds to how the world is changing with every action that we take.
Documentaries such as Blackfish and Cowspiracy may not have had the impact that they deserve had it not been for Netflix putting them out there for all 83 million subscribers to view. Now it’s the time for a new documentary to take the spotlight, Live and Let Live.
When people say that Live and Let Live is a vegan documentary, they mean just that. It delves into why people are vegan: the history and the reasons; and it also tries to bridge that gap that most meat-eaters tend to ignore between animals and food.
An anonymous reviewer on IMDB.com describes the plot summary as this “Live and Let Live is a feature documentary examining our relationship with animals, the history of veganism and the ethical, environmental and health reasons that move people to go vegan. From butcher to vegan chef, from factory farmer to farm sanctuary owner – Live and Let Live tells the stories of six individuals who decided to stop consuming animal products for different reasons and shows the impact this decision has had on their lives.”
IMDB rate the documentary as 7.9/10, which for those who are used to the website know is a pretty good score. But what did you think of the documentary? Is it powerful enough to make people think outside of the farm factory box?
