You can now buy vegan versions of Percy Pigs at Aldi in the UK for 85p
Aldi have just rolled out Leo the Lion and Wendy the Worm sweets.
We don’t want to insinuate anything, but both of these sweets look very similar to Percy Pigs and Colin the Caterpillars at Marks & Spencer.
The uproar came last year when Percy Pig sweets got a recipe update, but they were still not vegan friendly as they contain beeswax.
Colin the Catterpillar sweets at M&S are vegan friendly (well the last time we looked they were) and the new Wendy Worms look quite similar.
Maybe this will put pressure on M&S to now address the Percy Pig non-vegan ingredients issue? Let’s hope so
