This will be BirdsEye’s first move into the plant-based fish alternatives sector
It’s World Oceans Day, and what better way to celebrate than the announcement of a potentially brilliant new fish alternative.
The Fishless Fingers will go on sale at Sainsbury’s by the end of June, we presume in the freezers with the rest of the Green Cuisine range.
Fish Fingers are what we remember BirdsEye being famous for, and these vegan versions will also contain omega 3 (which are fatty acids people expect to find in fish).
The new product will cost £2.50 for a pack of 12, and it will be BirdsEye’s first use of rice protein.
Other Popular Fish Alternatives
The vegan food world is slowly getting more and more fish alternatives added to it, and some of them are pretty good. Here are a few popular ones:
Finnebrogue Naked Without The Splash Goujons (Sainsbury’s £2.25)
Quorn Fishless Scampi (Ocado, Asda and Sainsbury’s £2.50)
Fry’s Fish Style Fillets (Iceland £2.50)
Quorn Fish Fillets (Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Asda, Ocado £3.30)
