It’s official, Greggs’s have just announced the launch date and pictures of the new Vegan Sausage & Bean Melt
It is being officially called the ‘Vegan Sausage, Bean & Cheeze Melt’ and will launch into Greggs stores nationwide on 5th August 2021

Designed to mirror some of the iconic features of the Sausage, Bean and Cheese Melt, the vegan-friendly version is also wrapped in layers of golden puff pastry.
But instead of the classic filling, it’s loaded with pieces of vegan sausage, grated original and mozzarella flavour vegan cheeZe, and of course tasty baked beans.
Following the sell-out of Greggs’ previous vegan launches, fans will now be able to order their pastry fix in shops, through click+collect and on Just Eat
The leading food-on-the-go retailer has been treating the tastebuds of the UK’s vegans, flexitarians and pasty fans since 2019 when it launched its infamous Vegan Sausage Roll followed by the Vegan Steak Bake in 2020 (but unfortunately the Vegan Steak Bake has been discontinued).
In a statement sent to Vegan Food UK, Hannah Squirrell, customer director at Greggs, said: ‘As we expand our vegan options with the launch of our new Vegan Sausage, Bean and CheeZe Melt, we mark another milestone as we continue with our journey to become our customers’ favourite destination for food-on-the-go.‘
The new Vegan Sausage, Bean and CheeZe Melt (427kcal) will cost from £1.60 and will be available in all Greggs shops across the UK. Subject to availability.
