M&S officially kick off BBQ season with some new buns
Being called AvocaDough, the new buns come in hot dog or burger format and are apparently just like brioche.
Pureed avocado replaces egg and gives the buns a slight green hue, whilst coconut oil enriches the buns for that classic brioche texture. Both buns are a great source of vitamin D and fibre, as is all our bread range, and are ideal for vegans or those looking to try something a little different with their summer BBQ.
They are just £1.15 each for a pack of two!
They launch tomorrow and we cannot wait to see how they transform this coming vegan BBQ season
Marks & Spencer social posts said: “Our new avocaDOUGH buns have landed! 🥑 Vegan brioche-style bread enriched with avocado for a soft, fluffy-as-a-cloud texture. Find these plant-based barbecue game-changers in store tomorrow.”

Personally I did not like these. They did not really work as a burger bun as they were far too soft and crumbly and everything just went really soggy. They were a bit better when toasted but still not great. I also felt they had a strong flavour which I found quite unpleasant. However, my friend was quite happy with them.
