A huge wave of 30+ vegan products have just launched at Tesco in collaboration with Wicked Kitchen and Derek Sarno
From cold meat slices to sumptuous dessert slices, today is one of those days when all the exciting vegan food launches happen at once.
Cold Meat Slices
The vegan world isn’t short of meat alternatives these days, but some spaces still need to be filled. Before even opening a packet of the new Wicked Kitchen Slices, we can see the effort has been put in to fill those voids.

All the Wicked Kitchen Slices are £2.50 each and the Plant Chef slices are £1.55. The meatless slices pictured appear to be made with wheat & pea protein.
Bakes
If pastry is your thing then Derek Sarno has also launched four new bakes into Tesco, two being savoury and the other two being desserts. The new bakes are also in the chilled section and cost £1.30 each:

- Jackfruit & Pepperoni Bake (and Applewood cheese)
- Cheese & Onion Bake (with Follow Your Heart cheese)
- Bonus Apple & Blackberry Crumble (not pastry we know, but new still)

If you think that wasn’t enough, a whole load of new Wicked Kitchen meals have just launched (not including the Beyond Meat collaboration that launched last week in the freezers at Tesco). The majority of the new vegan meals appear to come in cardboard bucket-style packaging, which we love. Here is what we found, all costing £3.50:

Wicked Kitchen Co-founder, Derek Sarno, told Vegan Food UK: “We launched 32 new Wicked Kitchen and Plant Chef fresh items this week into the Chilled plant-based department across Tesco nation this week. Ready meals, pie’s and slices, deli meats and improved pizzas and a new All Day Breakfast Burrito!”
He added: “Wicked Kitchen kicked off this vegan party in 2018 when there was nothing and now look at where we are! The U.K. is the best country for vegan options and Tesco is leading the way with Wicked and Plant Chef. Exciting and delicious stuff!”
