With nearly 60% of greenhouse gasses coming from meat, will veganism be on the COP26 agenda?

COP26 is where Leaders of the united nations have gathered and are set to decide on how they can ‘Tackle climate change’. The event is 2 weeks long and will end on 12 November.

Except having some vegan friendly food at the event, the government are turning a blind eye to the animal agriculture industry and what a huge role it plays in destroying the planet.

VIVA! Have taken matters into their own hands and produced a series of billboards and posters across Edinburgh and Glasgow with destressing images of burning forests with a monkey in the centre. This is to encourage people to see the connection between Climate change and animal agriculture.

Boris Johnson said that this ‘Must Mark the beginning of the end’. But can leaders see more than just electric cars and recycling?

Viva! Senior Campaigner Will Sorflaten said ‘Going vegan is the single biggest action an individual can take to combat climate chaos – switching beef for beans can literally save our planet’.

What would you like to see as an outcome of COP26?
