Small Business Award

This year there will also be a Small Business Award, where people can nominate their favourite vegan food businesses who they think deserve special recognition. All nominations should be sent to [email protected] The deadline for nominations is Sunday 25 November with no self-nominations and you must state why you think the business deserves the award.

Liam Day, Co-founder of Vegan Food UK, says: “We believe the VFUK Awards are the most unique vegan awards in the UK, based on live, real time voting over a 24 hour period. The awards last year went very well with thousands of people voting on their favourite vegan products & places, we hope this year will be the same.”

Recognised by Sir Paul McCartney

Last year thousands of people voted and Sir Paul McCartney accepted the award, on behalf of Linda McCartney’s Foods, for ‘Best Vegan Sausage’, and Zizzi’s won ‘Most Vegan Friendly Chain Restaurant’

The VFUK Awards are sponsored for the second year by The Vegan Kind supermarket, which is the UK’s leading online retailer that helps people go, and stay, vegan. Their lifestyle and beauty subscription boxes introduce people to a wide and diverse range of vegan and cruelty-free products.

Janine Day, Co-founder of Vegan Food UK, says: “The awards are a fantastic opportunity to thank the companies that have made all the incredible vegan food in 2018. As well as promoting animal rights, vegans in the UK are a proud bunch of people who love their food so it’s nice to give them a chance to vote on their favourite products.”

The Vegan Food UK Awards 2018 will start this week from Wednesday 20 November 2018
