We Turn Quorn’s Newest Product Into A Banging Bap

The new product released by Quorn ‘Brilliant Bangers’ went onto supermarket shelves recently and we knew we needed to give them a go!

These are available to buy from Asda, Waitrose and Tesco and cost approx £2.50 (may vary per store).

I actually tried 2 stores before finding these so I knew that they would definitely need to be made into something special. I racked my brains for dishes to make… toad in the hole, full vegan English breakfast and sausage casserole are all solid choices.

I checked my cupboards to see what I had and there were some potatoes that were slightly on the turn and were perfect for a tasty mashed potato. I also had some baps/burger buns that also needed using. So, naturally I decided to make sausage and mash… in a bap.

Sausage & Mash Bap

The components of this ‘banging bap’ are:

Hovis Burger Bun

Buttered with salted Flora block

A spoonful of mashed potato – mashed with a little oat milk, vegan butter, salt and pepper

2 Quorn Brilliant Bangers

A spoonful of garden peas

Vegan gravy

Crispy onions

Luckily no one had to see me eat this because it was not pretty and there were a lot of peas on the floor by the time this was demolished but this was sooo tasty. The bap is really customisable too, so you could remove the peas and gravy and add in baked beans if you wanted to.

What dishes would you love to make with these sausages? Have you tried them? What did you think?
