Launching in the UK with two smooth flavours
For vegans in the UK, the wait is almost over for Cadbury to launch the plant-based version of their ‘Dairy Milk’ bar.

After two years of development, the Cadbury Plant Bar will launch in Sainsbury’s supermarkets this November.
Cadbury has substituted the dairy milk part with an almond paste to give it a similar texture & taste of milk, but with a slight nuttiness.
The two initial flavours that will be launched at the major retailer will be Smooth Chocolate and Smooth Chocolate with Salted Caramel Pieces.
The new plant-based range of Cadbury chocolate is Vegan Society Approved and will cost £2.50.
Vegan Food UK broke the news on Instagram this morning, and one person commented: ‘OMG If this is good. I’m in trouble‘
Another commented: ‘I hope and pray they don’t taste like marzipan’
What do you think to the new bar? Is the price-point fair? Is it good they are using almonds to make it? Please leave a comment

Can’t wait to try this
Bought one today in Sainsburys. It wasn’t with the other sweets and chocolate, it wasn’t with the free from ranges. Then I spotted it on a stand alone display at the end of a random aisle!
Couldn’t wait to try it … but was very disappointed 🙁 Found it extremely sweet, not very chocolatey and a lot like cooking chocolate. Almost like the bars using rice milk taste. So at £2.50, sadly won’t be buying another. Need to find the Lindt one next!
