A closer look at the vegan chicken that will take you and your kids to the stars and back
International food brand, Fry’s Family Food Co. has launched two brand new products, 100% plant-based Stars & Moons, and Chick’n Fillets.
Fry’s Stars & Moons
Ideal for families looking to inspire their kids to eat more plant-based food. Made with the popular Fry’s chicken-style filling and coated with a unique crumb, they are ready in the oven in just ten minutes.
The bright box design follows the story of Charlie the Chicken and his quest to travel to far-off galaxies…the box even comes with a cut-out rocket to play with whilst the kids are waiting for the food.
Available now at Iceland supermarkets in the freezers £2.65 for a 300g pack.
Fry’s Chick’n Style Fillets
Also making its debut in the meat free section of Iceland supermarket, the Chick’n fillets are described as delicious & succulent, suitable for a wide range of recipes and family occasions.
Costing £2.65 for two 90g fillets at Iceland
Tammy Fry, Global Brand Lead of Fry’s, said in a statement sent to Vegan Food UK: “Following the successful launch of our bite-sized chicken shop favourite, Popcorn Chick’n, which launched in the UK in Iceland in January, I am absolutely over the moon that we are finally launching the Stars & Moons and our tasty Chick’n Fillets”
She continued: “As a mother, I understand how important mealtimes are to families, and if we make them as fun as possible for everyone around the table, that’s what life is all about.”
It would be interesting to try this, but I haven’t seen it in our stores yet.
