These are the meatiest, beefiest vegan burgers you'll ever eat - and they're so simple to make!
200g cooked black beans from a tin (liquid kept)
90g button mushrooms
75g vegan butter
1/2 red onion
125g cooked beetroot
50g bbq sauce
1/2 tbsp salt
1/2 tbsp miso
1 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
1 1/2 tbsp liquid smoke
1/2 tbsp garlic paste
1 meat free beef stock cube
300g vital wheat gluten
1Blitz all ingredients together in a food processor until well combined
2Add 2 tbsp bean liquid and blend again
3Add the wheat gluten and knead for 5 mins in the food processor
4Weigh out 175g patties (this recipe makes 5)
5Individually wrap each patty in cling film and then steam for 1 hour
6Once steamed the patties will keep for 3 days fresh or can be frozen for a later date
7Brown off each side of the patty and finish off in the oven.
8Build your ultimate burger and enjoy!
