Deck the halls with vegan festive drinks

It’s that time of year again where you can’t walk 100 metres without seeing an advert for festive drinks. From Gingerbread to Hazelnut, let’s explore this year’s vegan options.

Caffé Nero

Caffe Nero has announced that all of its festive drinks can be made vegan this year. That includes vegan whipped cream!

The drinks on offer are; Salted Caramel Latte drizzled with caramel sauce, Gingerbread Latte with a Cinnamon powder dusting. Two hot chocolate options are also available with the twists of Hazelnut or Mint Choc Chip.

Starbucks

Yes, the red cups are back. But, of course, we all saw that one coming.

Vegan-friendly drinks you’ll find in Starbucks this season are the Chocolate fudge brownie hot chocolate  and caramel waffle latte. Both adaptable to be vegan.

Costa

Not all of Costa’s festive drinks can be made vegan this year. The Purple quality street drink isn’t adaptable to vegans and there still isn’t any sight of vegan cream.

Here’s how to order the festive drinks to make sure you get the Vegan version:

For ‘After eights’, ask without the cream topping and chocolate topping. ‘Terrys chocolate orange’ is the same as the after eights. Again, ask for no chocolate or cream topping and no chocolate orange slice. The ‘Toffee Penny’ drink is said to be vegan friendly, but there’s a cross-contamination risk from milk.

All drinks are to be ordered with your choice of plant milk.

What’s your favourite festive drink? Have you tried these yet?
