New Plant-based Salmon developed with impressive technology
An Israeli start-up, Plantish, is producing the first look at what could be the most realistic vegan salmon alternative yet. It aims to have the same nutritional value as real salmon and have just as much omega-3, protein and other vitamins & minerals.
The vegan salmon fillet will be mimicking the appearance of real fish and the texture, taste, and structure. The company will be using specific plant proteins to achieve the fibrous strands, getting as accurate to the original fillets as possible
The start-up started in 2021 and raised $2 million from TechAviv Founder Partners, a venture fund backed by the founders of 33 unicorns and public companies.
Plantish Salmon™ will be launching in select pop-up locations by the end of the year in the US, but Vegan Food UK hopes to see them move to the UK soon after.
