West Ham football star loses support after being seen slapping and kicking his cats.
Kurt Zouma appeared in footage of him abusing the family cat which was shared widely on social media. Consequently, the footballer has been fined and is under severe investigation.
After the video emerged, Zouma has lost a sponsorship deal with Addidas, lost possession of his cats and has been fined £250,000 which will be donated to animal charities by the football club.
Premier League club said, ‘Kurt and the club are co-operating fully with the investigation and the player has willingly complied with the steps taken in the initial stage of the process, including delivering his family’s two cats to the RSPCA for assessment’.
The RSPCA who currently has possession of the cats have announced ‘The two cats are now in RSPCA care. Our priority is and has always been the well-being of these cats’
‘They’ve been taken for a check-up at a vet’s and then will remain in our care while the investigation continues.’
