Garden Gourmet products are set to hit UK shelves from next week.

The meat alternative brand is already hugely popular across Europe and within the UK hospitality sector.

The Nestlé range features Mince, Burgers, Mediterranean seasoned fillets, and Cumberland Sausages, all bearing the branding, Sensational.

Honza Dusanek, Managing Director for Food and Dairy at Nestlé UK and Ireland said: ‘With more and more people looking for great tasting, more sustainable plant-based food, we are very excited to bring the Garden Gourmet range to UK supermarkets with our tastiest and juiciest Sensational range.’

‘We want people to fall in love with plant-based eating at first bite which is why we have worked hard to deliver even more meat-like flavour and texture to satisfy even the more discerning of taste buds’

The new products are a high source of protein and fibre while low in fat, sugar and salt and under the traffic light nutrition labelling has no red labels.

Garden Gourmet already provide meat substitutes to the hospitality industry including providing the meatballs for Subway’s popular Meatless Meatball Marinara which launched in 2020 and won Best Vegan Sandwich at PETA’s 2020 awards.

The European range currently includes the same as the UK plus Mexican and Asian seasoned fillets, and Chorizo style sausage.

Nestlé currently offers a variety of vegan-friendly plant-based products including dairy-free coffee mixes under the Nescafe brand, Vegan Condensed Milk as the Carnation brand, Wunda pea-based milk, and the KitKat V.

There is no information as to which UK supermarkets will be stocking the new range and how much it will cost when it launches on the 20th of September so keep an eye on the Vegan Food UK pages on Instagram and Facebook for any updates.
