Sussex school goes fully vegan for the kids physical and mental health

Sussex school ‘Our Lady of Sion’ in Worthing has brought ‘Plant-Based School Kitchens’ on board to provide hot vegan meals for the children.

Anna and Gary Hardley are the owners of the company and claim that a vegan diet is advantageous for both the physical and mental wellbeing of children.

The meals include Tofu tacos, Veggie lasagne, Teriyaki noodles, Fakeaway Friday and more. However, the headteacher still allows children to have meat in packed lunches and comments that they are not ‘Anti-meat’.

Anna Hardley from Plant-based school Kitchens says, ‘What we’re saying is this is an opportunity to really explore what plant-based food is all about, how it can have a positive impact on the environment and how it can be used as part of education.’
