Spar makes a huge vegan change.
Spar, a well-known convenience store in the UK, has made its own-label wine vegan friendly. There are 70 own-labelled wines from the company, and all are now vegan friendly.
The own-label range includes Spar Regional Selection Languedoc Red, Regional Selection South African Reserve Chenin Blanc, Vine & Bloom Rosé and Spar Prosecco Valdobbiadene DOCG.
Vegan Food UK posted the news where someone commented, ‘AMAZING NEWS!! No need to check the wine bottle.’

Spar’s 2021 vintage selection will also be vegan in 1,700 stores around the UK.
Adam Georgiou, brand manager for own label BWS at Spar UK, said, ‘People are increasingly looking for vegan products, regardless of their eating habits or lifestyles. As a result, we decided that the time had come to create more inclusive ranges that tap into what our shoppers are looking for.’
He also added, ‘We are proud to be delivering on our promise to become the first grocer offering an own label wine range that is suitable for vegans.’
