This week’s launches ranged from spooky Halloween treats to festive fishy alternatives
It has been yet another fantastic week for vegan food launches in the UK, with some very exciting & innovative products available now at UK supermarkets. Here are our top 6 to look out for:
1. Halloween Inspired Vegan Malt Loafs
Soreen launched a variety of holiday-themed lunchbox sized loafs this week. For Halloween, we have the Chocolate & Blood orange and Toffee Apple. For those getting into the Christmas spirit, there is Gingerbread and Raspberry & White Choc, all labelled vegan.

These join the already available lunchbox flavours of Banana, Apple, Strawberry and Malt. The Lunchbox varieties cost £1.40 at most major supermarkets.
2. Vegan Salmon Fillets Are Finally Here!
We can thank Sainsbury’s for this product launch, as the new No Salmon Fillets are in the Plant Pioneers range. Made using king oyster mushrooms and jackfruit, these fillets cost £4 and you get two in a pack.

3. Squeaky Bean Sandwich Fillings
Squeaky Bean also released two new deli slices, Applewood Smoked Ham, and Honey Roast Ham. Both are made from wheat protein and cost £3 for 120g.
These will be available from Sainsbury’s with hopefully more supermarkets to follow.
4. Options Finally Make Vegan Hot Chocolate
Twinnings makers of tea and other drinks have launched a vegan hot chocolate in their Options brand. The Vegan Belgian Choc is made to the same great taste as the non-vegan versions but is 100% plant-based.
The new hot chocolate is available at Tesco for £3 and is in perfect time for the cold evenings drawing in.

5. Fancy Vegan Crisps At Tesco – Roast Beef Anyone?
Tesco Finest range released new recipe versions of their Mature Cheddar & Red Onion and Roast Beef and Horseradish crisps, both now labelled as vegan. The website may still reflect the older recipe so please check the packets in store if purchasing. The larger bags (150g) are ideal for a movie or gaming snack or sharing with friends and family.
6. More Vegan Tuna – Can This Be The One?
Unfortunately we haven’t found the new Tuna to review it yet, but with the reputation of Future Farm, we hope that this will be a winner. Let’s face it, we are all still looking for that magic plant-based tuna, that tastes & looks like the real thing. Fingers crossed. Launched at Sainsbury’s and made from soya & chickpeas, costing £2.90.
