The ultimate vegan Christmas menu
Vegan Food UK visited Purezza in Camden, London and as always, loved it. Purezza is an entirely vegan pizzeria that serves impressive pizza and attracts people from all over the UK. We tried the festive menu, which featured Christmas themed pizza, calzone, cheesy dough balls and more.
Purezza was the UK’s first vegan pizzeria and has built quite a reputation. There are four stores across the nation; Camden, Bristol, Brighton and Manchester. The company has won numerous awards for their pizza, including the National Pizza of the Year and a leading award at the World Pizza Championships.
For our visit, the highlight was the Christmas Calzone. It is a meat, cheese, stuffing, potato and cranberry pizza folded into a calzone. It tore apart perfectly and even came with a little pot of gravy.
A Pizza, we thought the Bosco Pizza was excellent. With a butternut squash base, blue cheese, spicy nduja, and crumbled cured ham. This one was of the first pizza’s the company served, so it was even more special to see it back on the menu.
They served a Christmas new york cheesecake with a berry sauce drizzle for dessert. This was a perfect way to round off the meal, and it is great to see a cheesecake on the menu and not just sorbet!
Also available on the Christmas menu is the Pesto lasagna, Smoked Cheese Meatballs (GF), Black Truffle Dough Balls and Mince pie doughballs.
