Better Naked

With sustainability at its focus, Better Naked, formerly known as ‘Finnebrouge Naked’ has entered a new era of plant-based meat replacements that doesn’t just focus on taste but factors such as sustainability, nutrition and price.

From building a new state-of-the-art factory dedicated to meat-free production to adding a sustainability score to every product packaging, Better Naked is focussing on enabling their customers to shop with our planet in mind.

But let’s talk a bit more about their products. The plant-based range is entirely suitable for vegans and includes meat replacements as well as traditional vegetarian products, highlighting how delicious a vegan diet can be. And of course, we had to try them!

Better Naked without the Oink Bacon

This vegan Bacon is certainly one that both vegans and meat-eaters will enjoy! It has a great smoky flavour, is easy to prepare and perfect for those weekend morning Bacon Butty cravings. But not only that, it is high in protein and a great source of fibre, vitamin B12, iron and zinc. It’s also soya free and can be found in Tesco, Ocado, The Vegan Kind, Waitrose and Dunnes (Ireland).

Better Naked Spicy Bean Burgers

These burgers are a true classic for many vegans and vegetarians and a great treat if you don’t fancy a meat replacement. They are full of flavour and have a bit of heat to them which we really enjoyed. They are also gluten-free, high in fibre, a source of protein and one of your five a day. What more could you want? Find them in Tesco, Ocado and Dunnes (Ireland).

Better Naked No Chicken Kiev

We absolutely loved these! When cutting them open, the garlic butter oozes out and adds a fantastic flavour to the chicken replacement. You could certainly fool a meat-eater with these ones! Just like the Bacon, they’re high in protein and a source of fibre, vitamin B12, iron and zinc. Find them in Morrisons, Waitrose, Ocado, The Vegan Kind and Dunnes (Ireland).

Better Naked No Chicken Nuggets

While we have to wait a little bit longer in England for these, you can find the No Chicken Nuggets in Dunnes in Ireland. And if they are anything like the Kievs, you are in for a treat!

Better Naked Southern Fried No Chicken Goujons

Anything southern fried is right up our street and these Goujons were great! Have them with some chips, corn on the cob and southern gravy for a perfect, cruelty-free treat! Find them in Morrisons and The Vegan Kind.

Better Naked No Fish Goujons

These No Fish Goujons are incredible! The batter is delicious and you certainly get a fish flavour for these. They are also a great source of Omega 3 as well as soy-free. Perfect for a Fish and Chips Friday dinner! Find them in Waitrose, The Vegan Kind, Ocado and Dunnes (Ireland).

Better Naked Evolution Burger

Packed full of protein (17g per burger), vitamin B12, iron and zinc, these burgers are great! They have a very ‘meaty’ texture and flavour which may be particularly appealing to new vegans or flexitarians. Buy them now from Waitrose, Ocado, The Vegan Kind, ASDA and Dunnes (Ireland).

Better Naked Evolution Meatballs

Just like the Evolution Burgers, these Meatballs are packed with protein and nutrients. Find them in Waitrose and Dunnes (Ireland).

What do we think?

Overall, we really enjoyed the Better Naked range. Every product is full of flavour and easily available from big supermarkets. We also really like that all products come in a 100% recycled and recyclable tray. Well done, Better Naked for creating such a delicious and sustainable range!
